As above, so below

“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.” ― Max Planck

“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”
― Max Planck

If we ignore the anthropomorphic notions of God and discard the grey-bearded, judgmental monarch and his pitch-fork wielding rebel, the harmonizing of Spirit and science is a logical progression.  Science is merely a circuitous route to the former as it is a product of man’s quest to source his origins.  Scientific theory has revealed that if we establish the outer electron ring as a boundary, an atom is 99.999999% space. This principle applies to all matter in the universe including a human being.  Focusing on the .0000001 % to gain an understanding of reality is rooted in error.  Both the Father of Quantum Theory, Max Planck and Albert Einstein have theorized that there is a binding force behind all that exists. Mystic traditions throughout human history have used “sacred” geometry to express this force.  Taoism, Zen Buddhism and other non-euhemeristic, meditation based practices have long espoused that one must “still the mind” to connect with the Divine creative force.  The physical universe is a function of electrical impulses interpreted and compiled as images, smells, sounds, tactile interactions, and tastes by the mind.  Only by disregarding these impulses or “stilling the mind,” which are a function of an interaction with matter, can one begin to connect with the inner Divine Self.

The scientific paradigm of the past 100 years seeks to source the universe by building massive particle accelerators and colliding particles.  However, each successful collision yields a still smaller particle which leads to a bigger accelerator and an even smaller particle.  The latest being the 27 km, 10 billion Euro mammoth CERN hadron collider to search for the Higgs boson. Once discovered, the “God particle” will likely reveal that there’s an even smaller particle still.   There are only two considered possibilities for the existence of the universe – spontaneous or conscious.  Atheists claim that their is no conscious intent behind the universe while those operating under a divine command theory adopt the clay model of creation, claiming that an omnipotent man created the universe in six days, opting to rest on the seventh.    Scientific theory however, should advocate neither and should seek only veritas.  The overwhelming influence of rationality as a reaction to the absurdity of religion has led to a discounting of the non spatio-temporal aspects of our existence and an attachment of scientific practitioners to atheistic principles.  Ergo, science places an inherent limitation upon itself by failing to acknowledge the possibility of a conscious force.

As the foremost scientific minds have realized, the key to grasping how matter is generated from nothingness can only be accomplished by an understanding of the “space.”.  This “space” is not random.  The field of information systems is built on the notion that organization cannot be derived in the absence of intelligence.  If we examine DNA sequencing and replication, the level of organization is astonishing.  Further organization can be observed throughout the universe.  The golden ratio’s (phi) ubiquitous presence in naturally related proportions has the markings of a purposeful clue. This Divine ratio is present in flowers, leaves, seashells, animal horns, all the way through to the spiral arms of the Milky Way galaxy.  Ancient cultures were more aware of the presence of Spirit within their conceptual framework of the universe as evidenced by their architecture and reverence of the irrational numbers phi and pi.

phi in nature

If we acknowledge the “Spirit” (the word God creates conditioned responses of a paternalistic entity) as the force that holds matter together,  we can begin to gain an accurate understanding of our origins. Although not surprisingly spurned by academia, physicist Nassim Haramein of the Resonance Project has begun to propose a new paradigm for our construct of the universe.  The following is an introductory lecture that outlines the ideas of Nassim’s work.

The prime source differentiation into a phenomenological universe cannot be articulated without an acknowledgement of an underlying intelligence. (Regardless of what Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard claim).

Coincidence is what remains when a bad theory is applied.

The modern archaeological paradigm refuses to acknowledge the possibility that the history of man includes periods of technological sophistication and advancement that exceed our present capabilities. This rigidity of perspective is maintained despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. The hallowed halls of academia seem to place a greater emphasis on self preservation than on discovering the truth about the history of our existence on earth. Say nothing of the significance of these truths where our origins and the purpose of our existence are concerned. Neglecting to include the evidence in the formulation of theory has led to piecemeal explanations wrought with inconsistencies and fallacies evident to the youngest child.
The rewarding of repetition and condemnation of critical thinking in our mode of instruction of the young has sought to gloss over these protruding imperfections in our models. The advent of the internet however, has yielded a pathway to uncovering much of the discourse that has been omitted by the glass house residents of academia. As many have sought more comprehensive explanations regarding our origins, the new format for dissemination of information has permitted those of us dissatisfied with the proffered explanations to search for the truth unimpeded. “Seek and you shall find” as the saying goes.  (Net neutrality is of the utmost importance.  Support and defend a free an open internet.)  The mathematical and geometric significance incorporated into the design of ancient pyramids and temples can no longer be accepted as mere coincidences.  The product of unsophisticated hunter-gatherers using chisels and ropes.
This is such a presentation. I draw no conclusions but merely suggest that you examine the material and see if it can be reconciled with your personal belief system concerning human history. For those interested in a more comprehensive analysis of the subject, a wonderful text is Earth’s Forbidden Secrets by Maxwell Igan.  Mr Igan presents a comprehensive assessment of the flawed perspective currently held and highlights the tendency of the scholarly to dismiss facts that do not fit the present model.

Alan Watts on the “good news”

It’s time to wake up and realize who you are. A beautifully articulated excerpt from Alan Watts concerning discarding Christian dogma and finding the “kingdom of heaven” within. I like the direction that the venerable Mr. Watts has taken with his pronouncement.
Every child born to woman possesses the “ruach” or “breath.” The quest for nirvana is a quest to recognize and embrace the Divine within each of us. The four gospels were selected for advocating the position that Christ was the “only begotten Son,” however they are not an exhaustive narrative on the life of the Nazarene. The Gnostic gospels and other writings of the age paint a different picture.  Though not reconcilable with the dogma of fundamentalism which posits an external heaven as a type of monarchy requiring an intermediary, these teachings suggest that Jah, Brahma, Allah, Jehovah, or whatever moniker has been used to encapsulate that which eludes naming, requires neither priest class nor grandiose houses of worship.

Any “religious” text purporting to outline the only way to God should also be “ceremoniously burned for we need it no more. The Spirit is with us.” The energy of the Kristos is accessible to any human fully prepared to receive it.

“Raise the stone, and there you will find me; cleave the wood, and there I am.” Gospel of Thomas

There’s a natural mystic blowing thru the air.

The last 2000 years have bore witness to the ascension of mythology and the involuntary cuckolding of the truth where man’s existence is concerned.  Both Eastern and Abrahamic traditions alike have become clouded and muddled with metaphor and myth mistakenly marked as mandate.  Renowned comparative religion scholar Joseph Campbell wrote extensively on the power of mythology, and humanity’s embracing of this mythology and neglecting of its underpinning truth.

Mankind has replaced the connection to the Gaian Mind w/ an edifice to ego. This insatiable beast demands constant gratification and is never fulfilled. For proof, one needs only look at the appetites of society- war, violence, sex, misogyny and self-exaltation at the expense of our bretheren. This harmonizes perfectly with both myth centered hierarchical religious doctrine and consumer capitalism 2.0.  Never satisfied and constantly demanding more, we slave as rats in the race to keep up with the Jones’.  Our hubris is at an apex.  We believes that nature is ours to subjugate. This ego is housed in the temple of rationality and constructed upon the house of cards we call science.  At its core, merely a patchwork of incomplete and imperfect theories. This is the primary reason why the rules governing the observable world cannot be harmonized with those of the quantum world. We can manipulate electricity and magnetism but these are only phenomena of the physical world. Cloning and manipulation of DNA have caused those who kneel at the empirical altar to erroneously believe that man holds the key to creating life. Only through union with woman will this ever accomplished. Man may borrow life from that which already exists, but the ability to create it through the alchemical processes of chemistry shall forever elude him.

Our hubris and misguided faith in traditions entrenched in mythology have led to turmoil in all spheres of existence. Every life system on the planet is in decline.  Sex, shopping, stimulants, depressants, and a host of insatiable “demons” plague the existence of man as he attempts to fill the void within his soul. (I deliberately did not use the word “drugs” as we have been erroneously conditioned to include marijuana, ayahuasca, peyote, coca, and other medicinal plants in our mental construct of drugs.)  We are bestowed with the ability to contemplate the heavens yet place a premium on shiny earth stones while wars and suffering rage.  Only through a re-connection with Spirit can we reveal the beauty that is humanity and fill the void within each of us till our “cup runneth over.”  Utopia is possible if we embrace the natural mystic that is our connection to the Spirit and develop a Utopian mindset.

“The people have ah voice inside them, they need to listen to” – Robert Nesta Marley.  If we cease the irrational torments of matter, we can listen and reforge this connection to Spirit.  Some who have embraced Christ or Krishna Consciousness  have transcended the mythology of their respective faiths and accomplished this re-connection.  The nature of organized religion is such that these practitioners believe that it is ONLY via their “special” deity this is possible, hence the call to conversion.  This is manifestly wrong.   It is possible for each and every one of us.  All we need do is listen.

The poetry of hip hop…

RunDMC276I think that history shall remember the lyrical poets of the tail end of the 20th Century and accord them the same degree of respect as the Romantic bards or the Beatniks. It’s critical to distinguish between the artists inspired to express an internal message and those thrust upon the public as “fast food” (c)rap.  It is important that this distinction be made as there is a vast difference between the content  and quality of the poetry inspired to deliver a message of positivity, versus that created solely for commercial success. Hip hop is a movement born out of the suffering experienced by humans existing in the pressure cooker of the inner city. It is a cry of anguish from the downtrodden and serves as a release for people in despair.

There is a misconception among much of the society that hip hop is an art form entrenched in violence and thus fosters violence.   This is erroneous.  Hip hop is an expression of the mindset that is necessary to survive in some communities. It is music from the street for people who live in a world inundated with violence. Hip hop doesn’t create violence, it is merely an expression that resonates with people who continuously live in a state of “fight or flight.” Art has always served as a scapegoat for the larger problems of society. While the content selected for main stream consumption is purposely “dumbed down” and covers very limited subject matter, this limitation cannot be applied to the entire genre.  That being said, the content selected by the music industry for mass airplay  often espouses violence, misogyny and glorifies negativity. Commentary on the reasons for this shall be reserved for a later post.

Artists like KRS-1, GZA, and numerous others have created some of the most intoxicating verses with rhyming schemes that rival Petrarch. If academia were inclined to peel away the rough exterior of “da Wu” for example, some of the most brilliant word-smithing will be revealed and presented for study. The following is the opening verse from Inspector Deck on the Wu track “Triumph.”

I bomb atomically
Socrates, philosophies and hypotheses
Can’t define how I be dropping these mockeries

Lyrically perform armed robbery
Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me
Battle-scarred Shogun, explosion when my pen hits
Tremendous,
 ultra-violet shine blind forensics
I inspect you, through the future see millennium
Killer Bees sold fifty gold, sixty platinum
Shackling the masses with drastic rap tactics
Graphic displays melt the steel like blacksmiths
Black Wu jackets Queen B’s ease the guns in
Rumble with patrolmen, tear gas laced the function
Heads by the score take flight incite a war
Chicks hit the floor, die hard fans demand more
Behold the bold soldier, control the globe slowly
Proceeds to blow, swinging swords like Shinobi
Stomp grounds and pound footprints in solid rock
Wu got it locked, performing live on your hottest block

Poetry is the dramatization of experience in metrical language and this certainly comports with that definition.  It is worthy for study along lines of imagery, syntax, diction, caesura, and any other criteria applied to the analysis of poetry. Well, that’s my two cents on this issue.
